Also known as "Additive Manufacturing", 3D printing is the process of adding/joining material through CNC operation, to create a three dimensional object. Although there are many different types of 3D Priniting, the most common is known as Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF). This process involves continuously feeding a plastic-type filament through a heated extruder head, and laying the melted material in layers to create a 3D shape.
There are a range of filaments available, all with individual characteristics to suit different application and budgets.
